Bob Rennie, AFCA*

Today, because of world wide travelling, Bob is painting images in Oils, Acrylics and Watercolours  of Indonesia, Europe, Mexico and across Canada and the USA.  He is also an enthusiastic and inspiring instructor.  He recently returned from a two week teaching workshop in Provence France.  This was taught along with highly recognized painter and instructor Mike Svob.  Now Bob teaches classes regularly for Capilano College and presents demonstrations. Bob has been commissioned by Seaspan Tugs, British Columbia's largest tug company.  Also he was commissioned to do covers for two commercial work boat magazines and has had a painting in the Foss Tug 2002 work boat calendar.

* AFCA means an Associate of the Federation of Canadian Artists.  It represents recognition by an artists' peers in the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA)  This organization has abouit 2000 members, many of which are highly competent Canadian and US artists.

   Bob, a retired PhD Mathematician has been painting professionally
for over twenty years  He enjoyed painting in his waterfront
home-studio  on Indian Arm in North Vancouver BC for 18 years.  
There was much to paint::  mountains, work boats, sailboats, mists
and reflections.  Bob and Lois now live (and paint) in South Surrey
(White Rock area) where he continues to develop his art.

Having always had an interest in marine subjects, Bob was first well
known for his watercolours of misty work boat scenes.   He
conducted watercolour workshops on Salt Spring Island throughout
the 1980's for the Federation of Canadian Artists.   By inviting many
outstanding instructors from Canada and the USA he developed
what was one of the finest artist workshops in North America.  This
program not only provided instruction and inspiration for upcoming
artists,  but it also established a network for professional and
determined artists
